Making Hemp Soap
If you enjoy the challenge of making things from scratch then you came to right place. We will be talking about how you can make soap from scratch. One type of soaps that we will focus on is Hemp Soap.
Please take precaution when making soap because it is highly dangerous because you’re dealing with extremely hot substances. We will talk about the best technique for you to pour your soap that is great for those that are new or experienced.
Glycerin Hemp Soap is perfect for melting and pouring. Hemp oil is rich and has fatty acids and enzymes that are good for you. It also has vitamins A, D & E. Make sure that when you are purchasing hemp Glycerin that the blocks contain approximately 20% glycerin. Other factors to watch out for are to make sure it is alcohol free and does not contain harsh detergents.
For every pound of blocks that you purchase it will make about 4 bars of soap. Additionally, it will cost around $4 for one pound of slab. So essentially, you will spend $1 for every bar of soap that you create.
The steps are quite simple. Boil the water, add your melt and glycerin hemp, cover it up and leave it there. Check on it every 10 minutes to see if it has been melted. Stir it every now and then to make sure it melts evenly. While it is being melted you have the option to add a fragrance to it. I typically use fragrance oil so you can add that if you like but make sure the soap doesn’t have a cloudy. Do not use any more than 1/4 once for every pound of soap. Finally, once it has all been melted and you have added your fragrance and essential oils (optional), pour the base that has been melted into your choice of mold. Make sure you remove all the bubbles on top, which you can easily do with some rubbing alcohol. It’s now a waiting game. Give it a few hours and you can use it.
Hemp Soap is great for giving as gifts, so be creative and create your soap today!
